NOBILE DI MONTEPULCIANO "IL NOCIO" BOSCARELLI 2015
The Nobile di Montepulciano "Il Nocio" by Boscarelli comes from the “Vigneto del Nocio” cru, on vines that are almost 50 years old, placed on soils of alluvial origin, with a good percentage of sand, silt and clay. Boscarelli likes to ferment his Nobile “Nocio” in small oak vats filled no more than 2/3: a fermentation that lasts 8-10 days and which helps to soften Sangiovese, one of the most difficult and nervous grapes. The aging lasts between 18 and 24 months and takes place in French Allier and Slavonian oak barrels, to then stabilize and balance in the bottle for another 6 months. This leads to a Nobile di Montepulciano of great structure and elegance that shows itself in all its hints of blueberry, plum and violet. A crescendo of ripe fruit that gives wonderful sensations.
