"TIGNANELLO" ANTINORI 2018
It was the first Sangiovese to be aged in barriques, the first modern red wine blended with non-traditional varieties (such as Cabernet), and among the first red wines in Chianti Classico not to use white grapes. Tignanello is a milestone. It is produced with a selection of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Intense ruby red in color, Tignanello strikes the nose for its complexity. Notes of red-ripe fruit such as cherries in alcohol, black cherry, raspberry and plum alternate with delicate spicy hints of carophane nail and licorice; sweet balsamic sensations of mint and chocolate complete the complex bouquet. On the palate it is rich, enveloping and vibrant with soft and velvety tannins. The aftertaste is persistent along the finish, where the notes perceived on the nose return
