BOLGHERI VERMENTINO "GUADO AL TASSO" ANTINORI 2022

A territory, that of Guado al Tasso, characterized by the Bolgheri Amphitheater, a series of hills that enclose the plain overlooking the sea, capable of creating a unique microclimate, with large temperature variations. The Guado al Tasso vineyards are located at the foot of the Amphitheater and, in the night, the cold air descends from the hills to cool the rows. These particular climatic conditions give the grapes a strong aroma and guarantee perfect ripening of the grape.

Tenuta Guado al Tasso is located in the small and prestigious DOC of Bolgheri, on the coast of the Upper Maremma, about a hundred kilometers south-west of Florence. This appellation has a relatively short history (born in 1994) but boasts an international reputation as a new point of reference in the world wine scene. Tenuta Guado al Tasso covers an area of ​​approximately 320 hectares.
Guado al Tasso carries the historical coat of arms of the Antinori family in its capsule. On the label it presents the Della Gherardesca family crest with its initials, DG, the ancient owner of the estate.

Born in 1996 from the desire to rediscover a native variety characteristic of the Tyrrhenian coastal area, recognized since the 90s for its aromatic qualities. The Bolgheri microclimate, particularly suitable for the production of Vermentino both for the conformation of the territory and for the proximity to the sea, gives the wine a marked minerality and freshness as well as enhancing its aromatic component.

This Vermentino has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections, it has a fragrant and intense aroma, with aromas that recall citrus, candied fruit and passion fruit. In the mouth it is well supported by the freshness and mineral component, which give the wine flavor and persistence.
