FALANGHINA DEL SANNIO MASTROBERARDINO 2022
The name Falanghina probably derives from the use of poles called "phalanx" which since ancient times were used to support the vines. Although having written testimonies only from the mid-nineteenth century, experts maintain that it is a contemporary vine with respect to Fiano and Greco, which date back to the first century BC.
The Apice estate is mainly located on a medium-textured soil rich in skeleton with a predominantly south-east exposure and an average altitude of 350 m. s.l.m. The training system is espalier with guyot pruning with an average planting density of 4,000 vines / ha and a yield of about 85 q / ha and about 2 kg / vines.
It has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. Fresh and fruity on the nose with marked notes of citrus, tropical fruits, peach, banana and white flowers. In the mouth it is very fresh and persistent, with a pleasant aftertaste of tropical fruits.
