The Duchesse de Bourgogne beer is certainly the most renowned of the brewery. This beer benefits from a refermentation in oak barrels for about 18 months, before being completed with an 8-month beer. The beer has a dark color with mahogany reflections. On the nose it is sweet and sour, an evident characteristic of beers of this type. The woody notes are mixed with hints of licorice and berries. On the palate it recalls notes of chocolate and caramel with a slight hint of acidity. The deeper and more "sugary" flavors compared to traditional Flemish reds make this beer an ideal companion for a fruit and / or chocolate dessert
