LIEFMANS GLUHKRIEK CL 75
Liefmans Gluhkriek is a beer produced with spontaneous fermentation that takes its cue from the classic Liefmans Kriek, but has more spicy notes and a greater quantity of cherries, about 150 gr. per liter. At sight it shows a beautiful dark red, almost brown color, surmounted by a light pink, persistent and compact foam. The nose is immediately teased by the strong aroma of cherry and red fruits (black cherry, wild berries, raspberries and raisins), with a light spicy hint of cinnamon and cloves. The taste is very particular and one is surprised by not being able to identify the right location of a beer that, served in this way, has very little beer, but still remains a step away from the classic mulled wine, as it is perceived the classic hoppy and malty notes of beer, not evident but still present in the background. Predominant is the flavor of the cherry that envelops the whole palate and fills the mouth with a pleasant sweet and sour sensation, while the heat (due to the process that brings it to 70 ° C) plays with the alcoholic component which, although light, teases in a decisive way the throat. It leaves with a finely acidic aftertaste
