The most famous of all Canadian whiskeys, Crown Royal is made with over 50 different types of whiskey. It was created in 1939 to celebrate King George VI's visit to Canada. In 1857 an ancestor of Joseph Seagram baptized with his own name a distillate obtained from the fermentation of the ground wheat from his mill. Since then the factory has enjoyed growing success, so much so that in less than a century it has become one of the giants in the sector. Crown Royal, known as the Queen's Canadian whiskey, was created by seagram's most famous blenders in 1939 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth of England's first official visit to Canada
