These liqueurs, produced by the Aurelio Visconti company of Abbadia San Salvatore, have established themselves both in the territory of Monte Amiata and throughout the region, the bitters involve the use of vegetables of Amiata origin and mostly collected directly in the territory with an eye respect for bio diversity, exploiting what this wonderful land offers spontaneously.
If you are looking for an amaro to combine with desserts, STILLA is the one for you, made up of three local and two Asian herbs, it has a good intensity given both by the karkadè and the rhizome of rhubarb.
For something more complex from a herbalist point of view, you can instead choose IMPERIAL, the result of combining 15 aromatic herbs, it is an after-meal product that can also be diluted with water to create a very thirst-quenching drink. This bitter gives the taste and scent of citrus, cardamom but also tobacco and licorice.
CENOBIUM is the bitter par excellence, it has 0% sugar and is the result of a blend of 10 herbs. Very complex, it can give hints of cloves, sage, juniper and wormwood.
Finally, the novelty inserted in 2020, the VITALIS, obtained from eight types of herbs and containing no sugar, was created starting from the licorice root which, together with the other herbs, gives it freshness. This product can also be served with ice or used in mixology.
