CHAMPAGNE BRUT ROSE' LOUIS BROCHET
Since the 19th century, Domaine Louis Brochet has been located at the foot of the Montagne de Reims, in the village of Ecueil. Here, the family's passion for vineyards and meticulous work on the terroir according to the purest expertise of Champagne has been handed down through four generations of winemakers / producers. The Pinot Noir d'Ecueil is the fruit of careful selection, a completely mastered experience and meticulous work over the years, which gives the Champagne Louis Brochet finesse and character.
Domaine Louis Brochet is made up of 50 plots located in Ecueil, classified as Montagne de Reims Premier Cru, and in the neighboring terroirs. Louis Brochet champagnes are produced with grapes from these 13 hectares (33.12 acres) of vineyard. The last three plots were purchased by Hélène and Louis Brochet in 2014 and 2015. They were Jacquessonne in Branscourt, La None in Tréslon and Mont Benoit in Villers aux Noeuds, for a total of 80 ares (just over 20 acres).
This wine (5% Pinot Noir from the Le Mont-Benoit plot in Villers aux Noeuds) of our production is the result of a careful selection of grapes with optimal phenolic maturity. The three grape varieties used in the composition of our Rosé Héritage reflect the overall grape variety of our vineyard, on the terroirs of the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de l'Ardre. The final blend reveals a strong predominance of Pinot Noir and is composed, for this bottling, of 65% of 2018 wine, completed by 35% of reserve wines (2016, 2015 and Soléra from 2010), stored in thermo-conditioned vats or in 300 one-liter oak barrels. Unlike our white champagnes, the refinement in the bottle is shorter to preserve the freshness of the fruity aromas characteristic of this cuvée.
It has a light pink color, scratched by chains of fine bubbles. Delicate on the nose with notes of small red fruits, with cherries and raspberries, combined with flowers and fragrant sensations. On the palate, it is appreciated for its lightness and vivacity.
