The Montenisa estate is located in the heart of Franciacorta, around the Borgo di Calino. In this land of great wines, vines have always been cultivated. Some say that "Franciacorta" originates from "Petite France", an affectionate name that Charlemagne gave it.
A vintage, 2011, which will be remembered as one of the best in the history of Franciacorta. The seasonal course, characterized by optimal temperature variations between day and night hours, has guaranteed to enhance the elegance and harmony typical of this terroir to the maximum.
The vinification begins with the alcoholic fermentation takes place partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in barrique. The second fermentation in the bottle in contact with the yeasts took place in the following 40 months.
Contessa Maggi has a bright golden yellow color; the foam is creamy and characterized by a fine and persistent perlage. The nose is intense and refined. On the palate it is denoted as a wine of great harmony and complexity, where the notes of white pulp fruit give the wine remarkable elegance.
The elegance and finesse that characterize this wine make it particularly suitable for accompanying medium-intensity first courses and white meats, fish soups and fish in general.
