FRANCIACORTA BRUT SATEN MAGNUM FERGHETTINA 2017

In Ferghettina we have made the squaring of the circle. It is the "square" bottle. Thanks to the particular shape of the bottle, designed and patented by Matteo, Roberto's son, Franciacortas aged on yeasts can benefit from a wine-yeast contact surface two and a half times higher than that of a round bottle. The side of the bottle, in fact, is flat inside so that the surface where the yeasts are deposited is wider. The result of this contact translates into a greater release of manno-proteins and yeast lysate which qualitatively enrich the wine in aromatic components.

Franciacorta Saten embodies the elegance and creaminess of the finest and most delicate vineyards of the company's viticultural landscape. We select chardonnays from 20 different vineyards located in 6 municipalities of Franciacorta for the cuvee of this Franciacorta.

The vinification begins with whole cluster grapes which are pressed with a pneumatic press at very delicate pressures. The musts are then separated into two fractions: flower must, which has the best qualitative characteristics and which is used for the production of Franciacorta and second pressing must that is not intended for bottling. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out in steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 16 and 18 ° C. The base wine rests in the tank until the spring following the harvest.

It has a bright yellow color with a fine and persistent perlage. Very elegant and creamy aroma with notes of pastry and sugared almonds.
