FRANCIACORTA ROSE' BRUT "61" BERLUCCHI
In 1961 we signed the first Franciacorta ever. Today Franciacorta Method is also one of the strictest disciplinary in the world for productive yields and months of aging.
What does it mean in simple terms? That in a glass of Berlucchi there are no compromises, but only the best quality.
The vinification begins with the soft and progressive pressing of the bunches with fractionation of the musts; alcoholic fermentation in steel vats. The maceration of Pinot Noir for a few hours in contact with the skins (pink maceration) gives color and aromas typical of the variety. The maturation starts with the preparation of the cuvée in the spring following the harvest, with the addition of 10% of reserve wines from the best vintages. Second fermentation in the bottle and subsequent refinement in contact with its own yeasts for at least 24 months, followed by another 2 months after disgorgement.
It has a pale pink color, it may vary slightly from one harvest to another due to the different degree of phenolic ripeness of the Pinot Noir. Soft and abundant foam, with subtle and persistent perlage. On the nose a complex, fragrant and lively bouquet, with marked notes of wild berries, ripe fruit, denotes a pleasant vinosity, due to the presence of Pinot Noir even in the expedition liqueur. Full, velvety, soft on the palate, with a pleasant body.
Excellent as an aperitif, due to its vinous structure it is recommended to be paired with various dishes: cured meats, savory meats, sauces, medium-aged cheeses, shellfish. It goes perfectly with acidulous desserts (strawberries or blueberries) and fresh fruit salads.
