FRANCIACORTA SATEN "61" BERLUCCHI
In 1961 we signed the first Franciacorta ever. Today Franciacorta Method is also one of the strictest disciplinary in the world for productive yields and months of aging.
What does it mean in simple terms? That in a glass of Berlucchi there are no compromises, but only the best quality.
The vinification begins with the soft and progressive squeezing of the bunches with fractionation of the musts; alcoholic fermentation in steel vats. The preparation of the cuvée follows in the spring following the harvest. Second fermentation in the bottle and subsequent refinement in contact with its own yeasts for at least 24 months, followed by another 2 months after disgorgement. The lower overpressure in the bottle (5 final atmospheres), characteristic of the Satèn type, gives it an elegant creaminess.
It has an intense straw yellow color with a soft and creamy foam. Good persistence of a tenuous crown; subtle and continuous perlage. Very elegant and sweet on the nose. Hints of ripe yellow fruit lightened by slight references of candied citron on the finish. At the sip it is soft and elegant with a pleasant structure and a final freshness that gives pleasure to drink.
Ideal as an aperitif, to try with raw fish and dishes with a delicate taste.
