"TIGNANELLO" ANTINORI 2020
Intense and complex, it opens on notes of ripe fruit such as cherry, strawberry and blackberry to continue on floral hints of violet and rose and closes on aromas of roasted coffee and cocoa.
On the finish, spicy notes of pepper and liquorice combine with pleasant sensations of aromatic herbs, giving length and freshness.
It was the first Sangiovese to be aged in barrique, the first modern red wine blended with non-traditional varieties, such as Cabernet, and among the first red wines in Chianti not to use white grapes.
Collectible wine.

Vinification and aging: During the fermentation process in truncated cone tanks, the musts were macerated with extreme attention to maintaining aromas, extracting color and managing the sweetness and elegance of the tannins. The racking took place only after careful and daily tastings. Once the skins were separated from the wine, the malolactic fermentation in barrique began, the refinement process took place in French and Hungarian oak barrels, partly new and partly second passage, for a total period of approximately 15 months; after an initial refinement in separate batches, these were assembled to complete the evolution in wood.
The wine then aged for a further 12 months in the bottle before being presented on the market.
