BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO "UGOLFORTE" COLLEMASSARI 2018
Produced using the best grapes from the vineyards of Castelnuovo dell’Abate, Brunello di Montalcino di San Giorgio is a red wine whose fermentation takes place in large steel tanks, with particularly prolonged contact between the skins and the must. The subsequent maturation takes place in first and second passage barriques for twelve months followed by another two years in large Slavonian oak barrels. The result is a wine of great substance, as enveloping as it is reactive. A Manual Brunello. The name, "Ugolforte", derives from a famous brigand who in the twelfth century led the people of Montalcino against the Sienese occupation.
