NOBILE DI MONTEPULCIANO RISERVA NOTTOLA 2015
Nottola is one of the most representative realities of Montepulciano recognized internationally: among its wines Nobile di Montepulciano, Rosso di Montepulciano, Supetuscan 'Anterivo' and many others. The Nottola winery was founded in 1992 by the impulse of Anterivo Giomarelli who, following a long and prestigious career as a builder, at a certain point in his life found himself constantly involved in the world of wine.
The winery was built next to the enchanting and historic Villa Bracci, surrounded by farmhouses typical of the Tuscan architectural tradition and which since the 1700s housed a cellar, an oil mill, stables and a granary.
The name Nottola derives from the crossroads of Bivio di Nottola in Montepulciano, located on a hill in the heart of the village. There, in the surrounding countryside, Anterivo Giomarelli planted 20 hectares of vineyards to produce high quality wines that reflected the tradition of Montepulciano.
The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Nottola Riserva, comes from a careful selection of grapes from the vineyards of the property located in the historical production range of the Denomination, at an average altitude of 380 meters above sea level. with a particularly favorable microclimate. Intense ruby red wine with garnet reflections due to aging. The nose expresses a wide range of elegant and composite aromas ranging from notes of ripe fruit and jams to tones of spices and coffee, finished with delicate hints of violets. In the mouth it is rich, with an elegant tannic texture, balanced structure and a long and persistent finish
The vinification takes place with fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature. It follows the maturation in 50 Hl barrels for 30 months with an aging of 12 months in the bottle.
