ROSSO DI MONTALCINO "CIAMPOLETO" SAN GIORGIO 2022

Ciampoleto Rosso di Montalcino DOC is a bold red produced in the Castelnuovo dell'Abate area. It is produced from 10-15 year old vines, located at 450 meters above sea level and with soils characterized by clays and skeleton. The climate is temperate Mediterranean with almost constant winds. Viticulture based on methods and principles that are totally respectful of the environment allows for a spontaneous production balance of about 55 quintals per hectare of grapes. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats with gentle and repeated pumping over, which allow long macerations and the slow release of only the noble and completely ripe tannins. Refinement continues in 30hl barrels where the wine ages for 12 months. Minimum aging of 6 months in the bottle. On the nose, fruity with notes of ripe berries and autumn flowers. On the palate it is sweet, soft and fresh with delicate tannins that give it a very pleasant structure. Moderate in the body and easy to drink. A classic fruity red wine of great character and elegance. Again, a fresh and fruity aftertaste
