LACRYMA CHRISTY DI VESUVIO BIANCO MASTROBERARDINO 2021
Wine with a prestigious name and origin that is lost in legend: God wept when he found a strip of sky stolen by Lucifer in the Gulf of Naples and, where his tears fell, the vine of Lacryma Christi was born. Given the extraordinary nature of the area, very rich in ash mixed with lava and lapilli, between which the vine climbs with difficulty, it is not possible to ignore so much force of nature in the expression of aromas and flavors.
The Vesuvian area is characterized by volcanic, loose soils, very rich in minerals and well drained. The exposure is mainly to the south-east, with an altitude of 170 m. s.l.m. The planting density is about 2,500 vines / ha and the training systems are the radial and espalier with guyot pruning.
The vinification takes place in a classic way in white in steel tanks (about 20 days) at a controlled temperature (16C ° -18C ° C) with a refinement in the bottle for a few months.
It has a straw yellow color. The nose reveals hints of ripe fruit, yellow peach, pear, typical aroma of licorice and mineral hints. On the palate it is a wine with a balanced structure, with sensations of fruit perfectly blended with mineral notes.
