MONTECUCCO BIANCO VERMENTINO "IRISSE" COLLEMASSARI 2020
Wine dedicated to Maria-Iris Tipa, owner of the winery and sister of Claudio Tipa.
This Vermentino di Collemassari is a rich and complex white, a wine with enormous aging potential. Notes of honey and rosemary, ripe pears and melon combined with a pleasant minerality and persistence. Rich and elegant, this wine contains the typical freshness of Vermentino with the structure of the wood. Excellent as an aperitif, it goes well with all fish-based preparations. Also try on sushi and sashimi.
An organic wine from 20-year-old vines located at about 300 meters above sea level from predominantly sandy soils. A unique blend of Vermentino and Grechetto, a variety originally from Umbria. After the harvest, the two grapes follow a different approach: the Vermentino is fermented in steel tanks followed by an aging of 12 months in 40 hl barrels; while the Grechetto is fermented and aged in wood. After a period of rest in the bottle, the wine is ready.
