ODDERO RIESLING LANGHE 2022

Poderi e Cantine Oddero is one of the historic brands among Barolo producers. The company has roots that date back to the late eighteenth century, when the ancestors of our family began making wine on their own. The cellars, located in the hamlet of Santa Maria di La Morra, rise on a natural terrace and cast their gaze on the hills of the Langhe. Immersed in a sea of well-kept vineyards, our company cultivates 35 hectares of the best crus of the Langhe and Asti from which it obtains the excellence of Piedmontese wines: The Langhe Riesling di Oddero is a fresh and citrusy wine produced with Riesling Renano grapes. grown in the locality of San Biagio in Santa Maria di La Morra, in the heart of the Barolo production area. Oddero's Riesling shows a beautiful straw yellow color with light greenish hues; on the nose it develops a rich and aromatic bouquet, with hints of ripe and tropical fruit and a pleasant mineral note. The vinification takes place with cooling of the whole grapes for about 12 hours, at a controlled temperature, de-stemming and pressing of the whole berries, static decanting at 10 ° C, decanting, alcoholic fermentation and resting on its lees for about 6 months. Bottling in April-May and permanence in our cellar where the bottles are stored for about 2 years, before being released on the market. For this wine we have decided to use the screw cap. With a soft, savory and very pleasant taste in the mouth, the Langhe Riesling by Oddero is a perfect white wine to drink in combination with first courses based on vegetables, grilled fish or fresh cheeses
