PINOT BIANCO "LEPUS" FRANZ HAAS 2020
Franz Haas' Pinot Bianco shows a brilliant straw yellow color. The scent recalls fruity and spicy notes reminiscent of ripe apples, wild flowers and fresh bread. On the palate it stands out for its strong personality accompanied by an elegant and robust structure combined with a harmonious acidity. In the finish it convinces with fullness and persistence; it needs at least three or four months of bottle refinement to express its typical characteristics of bouquet and complexity. The must is mostly fermented at a controlled temperature in steel tanks and partly in barriques. Before bottling, the wine remains on the lees for about five months in order to acquire complexity and fullness. The wine goes very well with different dishes, starting with substantial appetizers, first courses based on pasta, rice and fish with or without sauces, up to light Asian dishes and spicy curry dishes
