PINOT GRIGIO LA TUNELLA 2019

Pinot Grigio comes from the vines owned by the Tunella company, characterized by a subsoil of marl and sandstone of Eocene origin better known as "ponca", characteristic of the hills of eastern Friuli. The grapes are harvested at the right degree of ripeness, then de-stemmed and softly pressed. The free-run must thus obtained is statically cold decanted and subsequently added with a fermentation foot previously prepared (3-4 days before) with the best selected grapes of the same vine. It is then subjected to a slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a strictly controlled temperature (16 ° C) which lasts for about 30-40 days. The maturation continues in steel tanks where a long series of batonnage at gradual frequency also takes place, in order to obtain a complex, structured and delicately perfumed wine. We will wait until February for bottling.

The wine has an intense straw yellow color that is more intense during aging. Fruity and fragrant on the nose, it recalls the crust of warm bread and the intense scent of acacia flowers and ripe tropical fruits. On the palate it confirms the olfactory sensations and is elegant, full-bodied, moderately acidulous, with delicate notes of yeast. It is a wine with a strong personality.

Definitely perfect for appetizers, hams, fish and white meats and excellent as an aperitif.
