POMINO BIANCO FRESCOBALDI 2019

From one of the areas of Tuscany most suited to the production of white wines, at altitudes of up to 700 meters, a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco of great elegance and refinement.

The grapes were harvested with the greatest possible care. The care taken in the vineyard as well as the subsequent processing in the cellar have helped to ensure a high level of quality. From the moment they entered the cellar, the grapes and consequently the musts were processed avoiding contact with oxygen as much as possible. The pressing cycles have been chosen to allow a gentle extraction of the musts. Alcoholic fermentation was carried out in steel tanks and a small part in French oak barriques, all at a controlled temperature. At the end of its production process, Pomino Bianco remained in bottle aging. Only after this further period was he ready to make his structure and its explosion of freshness known to the public.
Upon visual analysis, the wine is clear and brilliant: the brightness of its reflections in the glass recalls the brightness of the sunny days of the 2020 harvest at the Pomino Castle. The nose is captured by many floral notes, almost like a colorful spring bloom: honeysuckle predominates over all. At the tasting, Pomino Bianco denotes a decisive persistence of aromas, also the effect of the careful aging sur lies to which the wine was subjected in the months following vinification.
