RIESLING ABBAZIA DI NOVACELLA 2019

Riesling Abbazia di Novacella is a white with a typically mountain profile, pure expression of the South Tyrolean terroir. To the eye it reveals a light yellow color with delicate greenish reflections. Fragrant and elegant, it offers a bouquet with aromas of white flowers, notes of orange blossom, lime zest, aromas of citrus, green apple, peach, white pulp fruit and refreshing nuances of wild herbs typical of mountain flora . On the palate it is clear and smooth, with a sip characterized by a fragrant fruit, crossed by a clear sapid trail, which leads to a finish of vibrant mineral freshness. Already excellent to be tasted immediately, it is a white that has a good aging potential and that reaches full expressive maturity after one or two years of bottle aging. The vineyards are located at an altitude of between 650 and 800 meters above sea level, with sunny exposures facing south, south-east and south-west. The very cool climate and stony soils, composed of moraine deposits with the presence of many minerals, including micascists, gneisses and quartzites, proved to be very suitable for the needs of the famous northern grape. The slow ripening of the bunches allows grapes with particularly rich aromatic profiles to be brought to the harvest. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 17-19 ° C. The wine ages for 6 months in steel tanks before being bottled
