VALMASIA LA TUNELLA 2018
Malvasia is one of the great Friulian white indigenous grape varieties. Harvested at the right degree of ripeness, the grapes are de-stemmed and softly pressed. The free-run must thus obtained, limpid and intact, is added to a fermentation foot previously prepared with the best selected grapes of the same vine. It is then subjected to a slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a strictly controlled temperature (16 ° C) which lasts for about 30-40 days. The maturation continues in steel where a long series of batonnage at gradual frequency also takes place, in order to obtain a complex, structured and delicately perfumed wine and at the same time naturally stable. We will wait until February for bottling. The "Valmasìa" made by the La Tunella winery is presented in the glass with a light straw yellow color, crossed by some flashes which, on the nail, are announced with a more greenish profile. The aromas that envelop the nose recall fruit, declined with different nuances, enriched by olfactory scents that recall aromatic herbs and marine scents. In the mouth it is light-bodied, subtle in the progression from which a fresh to savory sip emerges, adorned with aromatic gustatory references
